Opportunities and risks in an increasingly digital world
October 28 @ 10:45 am - 12:00 pm
The current pandemic has fast-tracked digital transformation across industries and society. With the rapid adoption and normalization of new technologies comes great opportunities as well as potential threats to our data privacy.
Telemedicine has emerged as a key player in alleviating the burden on the healthcare system and removing barriers for patients to receive high-quality healthcare safely. Learn from Jean-Nicolas Guillemette (Dialogue) on how digitization in the healthcare industry has transformed the way providers and patients function and interact, and what the next opportunities and challenges will be as we move deeper into the world of virtual healthcare.
As we try to balance living our digital lives, data privacy and security concerns are a constant worry. With each new digital tool and service that we adopt, we’re often in the dark as to what we’re giving up in terms of our personal information. In this talk, you’ll hear from David Carroll, who is known for legally challenging Cambridge Analytica in order to recapture his 2016 voter profile. He will share his perspectives on private information risks and pitfalls, and help you develop the tools to make informed decisions when it comes to your own data privacy.
