Ideate for Impact puts heads together at C2 Montréal 2018

What a world – and what a rapidly changing world – we live in. For example, at present 54% of the world’s population now call cities home. By 2050, this number is expected to shoot up to 66%. Will this steep shift from rural to urban areas spell trouble for public health? The time to figure out how to build healthier cities is now.

As shifting populations go, however, there is nothing more urgent than the current 65.6 million people worldwide have been forcibly displaced from their homes. Among those are 22.5 million refugees, 55% of whom are from Afghanistan, South Sudan or Syria. Over half of all refugees in the world are under 18 years old.

Through Ideate for Impact programs, participants can leverage learnings, experiences and connections to channel their strengths towards a positive impact on the world. With 6,500 of the world’s brightest minds preparing to gather at the end of May, C2 Montréal provides a once-yearly opportunity to put heads together and devise ways to address social challenges.

What does Ideate for Impact aim to achieve?

  • Gather business leaders interested in tackling a social challenge.
  • Empathize with the challenges, needs, desires, hopes and fears of target groups.
  • Learn and practice design thinking while fostering a creative, innovative mindset.
  • Construct a vision for how these insights and tools can be taken back to their businesses.
