Barry Diller, the former Chief Executive Officer of Paramount Pictures, and the digital economy visionaries behind bitly, Intel Labs and SAP’s Mobile Division are the latest international superstars in business and innovation to be confirmed as speakers at C2-MTL’s 2013 edition. The four will join Sir Richard Branson, Philippe Starck, Diane von Furstenberg, Elle Macpherson and other world leaders in commerce and creativity at the cutting-edge international business conference, which takes place May 21-23, 2013, in Montreal.
C2-MTL participants will get the inside scoop on what’s new at the vanguard of the digital economy and Big Data from bitly Chief Scientist, Hilary Mason; SAP mobility head, Sanjay Poonen; and Intel’s Chief Evangelist and futurist, Steve Brown. For his part, media mogul Barry Diller will provide conference goers with invaluable insights from his 40 year career at the top of America’s broadcasting and entertainment industries.
Barry Diller is Chairman of the Board and Senior Executive at IAC and at Expedia, Inc. and former Chair and CEO of Fox Inc. and
Paramount Pictures. Diller has more than 40 years of experience at the top of America’s broadcasting and entertainment industries and is credited with pioneering the TV mini-series format. Diller mentored some of the current top executives in the industry, a group known as “The Killer Dillers” that includes Michael Eisner, Dawn Steel, and Jeffrey Katzenberg. Hilary Mason is Chief Scientist at bitly, the URL shortening service made famous by Twitter. One of Forbes Magazine’s 40 Under 40 Ones to Watch, the Big Data guru is also the co-founder of HackNY, a non-profit that connects promising young engineers with startups, the creator of the dataists, and member of NYCResistor. Sanjay Poonen is President, Corporate Officer, Technology Solutions and Head of Mobile Development and responsible for SAP’s Mobile, Analytics, Database and Technology solutions and member of the leadership teams for both Global Customer Operations and Technology & Innovation Products. Poonen joined SAP in 2006 as executive vice president and general manager of Performance Optimization Applications for SAP. He holds master’s degrees in business administration from Harvard and in management science and engineering from Stanford University; and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, math and engineering from Dartmouth College, where he graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
Steve Brown is Chief Evangelist and futurist at Intel, the person whose job is envisioning the future of computing and its various applications in the next decade.
