To celebrate C2’s opening, Maestro Kent Nagano and ten Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) musicians will perform in the 360 Big Top. Striking video mapping, courtesy of stage and multimedia director Thibaut Duverneix, will capture and magnify the magic of the performance.

Performances by Gabriel L.B. Malenfant from Radio Radio (DJ Set) and GAYANCE

Gabriel L.B. Malenfant cofounded the group Radio Radio in 2007 with his Nova-Scotia friends. During his DJ sets, expect a mix of sexy, upbeat, psychedelic grooves that will whip the crowd into a tribal frenzy. He may even give a sneak peek of his next album, Conspiring Universe.

Aisha Vertus, alias GAYANCE, aims to recreate the carnival ambiance of the Caribbean, from the percussions of Northern Brazil to soulful cosmic music. Toggling between the worlds of mp3’s and vinyls, this 25-year-old Montreal DJ ranks among the best selectors of her generation.

Illumination Night: Chromeo (DJ Set) with special guest SOFI TUKKER (DJ set) and DJ Nino Brown

Electro-funk duo Chromeo (DJ set) will be throwing down in the main Forum space. Expect their signature mix of dancefloor scorching soul, rock, disco and funk tunes. Joining them will be breakout, New York-based house duo SOFI TUKKER (DJ set), perhaps best known for their Grammy-nominated, jungle-pop dance track Drinkee.
