C2 Theme:
Brad Keywell has a knack for transformation via “collaborative disruption.” Fuelling Chicago's startup ecosystem for the past 25 years by co-founding over 15 companies (including Groupon) and investing in over 100 more both in the city and across the U.S., he's set his sights on dominating the Internet of Things. Brad’s latest and potentially landscape-changing venture is Uptake, a predictive analytics platform set to turn major industrial manufacturers, such as Caterpillar and Berkshire Hathaway Energy, into high-tech companies armed with data-packed “predictive insight value.” Among other companies he's co-founded: the Tempus cancer-battling operating system; Lightbank venture fund and Echo Global Logistics enterprise transportation management. Invested in the health of his community, Brad co-founded and chairs major ideas and innovation platform Chicago Ideas Week, has served on the Illinois Innovation Council, and is Chairman of the philanthropic Future Founders Foundation public-school project.
“Data is the foundation of the next century of progress, efficiency, productivity, and safety in every industry.”
