The fictional archaeologist

The past, the present and the future playfully and poetically collide in the work of contemporary artist Daniel Arsham. Straddling the lines between visual art, architecture and performance, Daniel’s creations — including reinterpretations of iconic objects and structures — are rooted in his concept of “fictional archaeology,” resulting in works he refers to as “future relics of the present.” Daniel is represented by the gallery Perrotin. He is also the co-founder of New York City design studio Snarkitecture, which operates permanent exhibition space Snark Park, renowned for its wonder-inspiring immersive installations and experimental retail experiences.
