Élise Tastet is the Founder and CEO of Tastet, a platform for discovering high-quality local food and drink. She holds a bachelor's degree in communications and has worked in advertising and social network management. She completed her master's degree in ecommerce and founded the company of which she has been CEO ever since. Élise is a member of the jury for Canada's 100 Best, was chosen as one of Femmessor's 100 Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs (selected as one of Quebec’s top honorees), and was deemed to be one of the city's five most inspiring businesswomen by Montreal Inc.
Today, Tastet has 2.5 million readers, 10 million page views and 35 million social interactions per year. The site collaborates with some 50 local and international partners. Tastet was recently awarded an honorary grant by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation.
In 2020, Élise took a specialized training course in big data and AI at the HEC business school in order to further expand Tastet. The company was chosen as one of 25 companies, out of 300 applications from around the world, by the Next AI incubator. For eight months, Tastet was trained by professors from Harvard, Google, Facebook and MILA to integrate AI into the platform and scale internationally.
