The effective altruist

Jacy Reese Anthis is a social scientist and author whose new book, The End of Animal Farming (2018), provides a roadmap to a more humane, ethical, sustainable and efficient food system where slaughterhouses are obsolete. As Research Director at the Sentience Institute (a think tank researching the most effective strategies to expand humanity’s moral circle), Jacy is one of the leaders of the "effective altruism" movement, a community of business leaders, philanthropists and intellectuals applying reason and evidence to the challenge of doing the most good.
