That James Cooper once shot a “hipster horror” movie (all on Go Pro cameras, no less) will come as no surprise to anyone familiar with the multi-award-winning advertising creative director and Head of Creative at Betaworks. This is, after all, the same guy who has his own badass ping pong clothing line, won two Cannes Gold Lions in Mobile and just unleashed the Poncho Weathercat app and bot on the world. At Betaworks, James explores creative opportunities for Betaworks products, such as Dots, Giphy and Poncho, while helping tell the company’s brand story. He recently produced their highly acclaimed shareholders “book,” led a wholesale internal branding rework and spearheaded an award-winning Dots campaign for GE. And not to worry, his film talents haven’t been languishing: he has directed digital and film content for clients such as Doritos, Help Remedies and Nature Valley.
