Hailed as “equal parts Philip Glass and Don Draper,” award-winning composer, producer and arranger Joel Beckerman trumpets the transformative power of sound in branding and entertainment. Dedicated to impacting everyday experiences with music and sound, Joel and his company, Man Made Music, develop signature sonic branding and strategy programs for global giants such as Disney, AT&T, IMAX and Southwest Airlines. He’s worked with, among others, John Legend, will.i.am, Moby and Morgan Freeman for television, and is responsible for the short signature melodies (sonic logos) that introduce the Super Bowl on NBC and HBO’s original programming. Indeed, the soundscape of contemporary TV would be very different in Joel’s absence: he’s created or produced themes for more than 50 programs including Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations, CBS This Morning, ESPN’s 30 for 30 and NBC Nightly News.
