John Stackhouse is an award-winning journalist, author and Senior Vice President, Office of the CEO at RBC. In this role, John is responsible for interpreting trends for the executive leadership team and Board of Directors with insights on how these are affecting RBC, its clients and society at large. Prior to this, John was editor-in-chief of The Globe and Mail, editor of Report on Business, and a foreign correspondent based in New Delhi, India for seven years. He has authored three books: Out of Poverty, Timbit Nation and, most recently, Mass Disruption: Thirty Years on the Front Lines of a Media Revolution. John is a Senior Fellow at the C.D. ‎Howe Institute and the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs. He has interviewed Vladimir Putin, George W. Bush, Aung San Suu Kyi and Benazir Bhutto, among many others, and has won five National Newspaper Awards for his reporting.
