Tireless design renaissance man Karim Rashid has spent more than two decades advocating for, and engaging in, design that’s democratic, relevant, life improving and ultimately world changing. Karim’s designs include more than 3,500 projects, including award-winning luxury goods for Veuve Clicquot and Alessi, furniture for Bonaldo and Vondom, and high-tech products for Asus and Samsung. An agile and versatile mind, Karim’s designs also extend to interiors: he has completed over 50 interiors totalling 2.5 million square feet in 32 cities on six continents. The projects include hospitality, retail spaces and residential condo buildings. His work is featured in 20 permanent museum collections worldwide. Recent work includes designing with new bioplastics and other materials that leave a smaller eco-footprint, and exploring how sustainability can open new creative roads leading to design revolution.
