Matthieu Dugal

Host, columnist and author

After studying journalism and political science in university, Matthieu Dugal has spent the past two decades working as a journalist, columnist and host. In addition to helming several shows on Ici Radio-Canada Première, Télé-Québec, TV5, ICI ARTV, ICI EXPLORA and MATV, Matthieu has contributed to a wide variety of publications, including Le Devoir, La Presse, Le Soleil, Urbania, Beside and Liberté. More recently, he hosted digital culture show La Sphère for Ici Radio-Canada Première from 2011-2018, as well as the 2016 ICI EXPLORA series Hackers.

Since September 2018, Dugal has hosted daily science and technology show Moteur de recherche on Ici Radio-Canada Première. For the same channel but on Pénélope McQuade’s show, he’s taken on the role of science and religion commentator alongside journalist and host Alain Crevier. For fall 2019, he partnered with Cardinal to release a book called Wiki, Gif & LSD, encyclopédie anecdotique du Web. You can also catch Matthieu on the international French-language program 300 million de critiques, which tapes in Paris and is broadcast on the airwaves of TV5 Monde.
