Global co-worker
Miguel McKelvey has altered the architecture of how we work – now he wants to redefine how we live. Even with the global success of his multi-billion dollar venture WeWork (90 co-working spaces in 29 cities around the world), Miguel's ultimate goal hasn't changed: to empower people to live better lives. With his latest project, WeLive, he takes his ideals literally and reinvents communal living with creative co-living spaces (a world away from the multi-parent Oregon commune he grew up in). A multidisciplinary designer who directs all architecture and construction activities, Miguel is also well-versed in entrepreneurship: before launching WeWork with CEO Adam Neumann, he was involved in the early-stage development of several companies including his first business, web portal English, Baby!, as well as Green Desk office space, the Seven Planet store chain and Generation Design Studio.
