TV personality, Activist and Co-Founder, Let Elephants Be Elephants
Nadya Hutagalung is an Indonesian and Australian sustainability icon who became an Asian household name presenting on MTV Asia. Recently, she hosted Asia’s Next Top Model. Apart from her achievements in media, Nadya is a tireless environmental advocate. She is the founder of Green Kampong, an online resource about sustainable living, and she built one of Singapore’s first eco-homes – from scratch. Nadya also spearheaded the Let Elephants Be Elephants campaign to reduce the demand for ivory in Asia, addressed the UN General Assembly as a UN-GRASP Ambassador, and is in her seventh year as Global Ambassador for the WWF’s Earth Hour. Voted one of Asia’s Leading Trendmakers by Asiaweek, Nadya has earned international acclaim for inspiring Indonesian women with her far-reaching advocacy, and for her work as an action leader, change maker and steadfast environmental champion. Nadya is proud to be a long-serving board member of the Green School in Bali, Indonesia, which was awarded “Greenest School on Earth” by the U.S. Green Building Council.
