On the “Creative leadership in a dynamic marketing landscape” panel in the Cabaret
President, H&R Block Canada
The brand man
Richard Brown – but we’ll call him Rick – loves retail. And retail clearly seconds that emotion, as Rick has had extensive success building profitable branded businesses around the world. He’s a creative, versatile and seasoned leader with a history of leveraging multi-industry experience to provide unique ideas and strategic insights. Now manning the helm as president of H&R Block’s Canadian operations, Rick started his career with Unilever in Brand Management, and then moved over to the Gillette organization where he worked on Braun as Director, International Business Management. Later, he had a strong hand in a variety of consumer businesses in senior management positions, including Thomas J. Lipton, Burger King and Taco Bell. Having worked extensively with franchisees globally, Rick draws on a distinctive ability to translate and transfer perspectives across industries to build strong brands and tap unused potential.
