Co-Founder and CTO, BioBots
Ricky Solorzano was a student when the seed for BioBots took root, and now the Philadelphia-based startup is revolutionizing biological research by building tools that make it easier to engineer biology. Specifically, BioBots is creating premier bioprinters that can print living tissues. Ricky built the prototype BioBots 3D bioprinter in his dorm room after he was frustrated by the high cost and inaccessibility of equipment. Now, as CTO, Ricky continues to lead the development of next generation products by uniting robotics, software and biological engineering in the common cause of advancing humanity. His vision for BioBots is shaping the future of both bioengineering and bio-fabrication.
