Racism, poverty, violence, gender discrimination – just part of an expansive landscape of obstacles girls must overcome while growing up. Tatiana Fraser knows the territory. A writer, speaker, activist and social innovator, Tatiana has 20 years of leadership experience in the field of gender empowerment and social change. Co-Founder and former Executive Director of the Girls Action Foundation, she is a Global Ashoka Fellow and was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Powerful Women by The Women’s Executive Network. Through a unique and effective networking model, Tatiana empowers young women by building on their strengths, increasing critical thinking skills, fostering self-esteem and giving them the tools they need to contribute to their communities. She is currently co-authoring Girl Positive, a book that explores the political and cultural issues facing girls today.
