It literally takes a whole village to give life to C2 Montréal. To ensure the success of this event combining commerce and creativity, we need committed and congenial volunteers. All applicants must be:

  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Available throughout the event, May 23-26, 2017
  • Present at the two training sessions, May 10 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and May 22 during day time

Training specific to each volunteer position will also be given.

Required availability: Two two-hour meetings (dates to be determined)

  • Knowledge of protocol is a plus
  • Welcome participants at experimentation activities (workshops, labs, masterclasses etc.)
  • Accompany participants during the setup and breakdown of their activities
  • Ensure that experimentation spaces are welcoming
  • Take proper care of equipment
  • Support professional facilitators as needed
  • Undergraduate degree in the field of commerce or creativity
  • Organized and resourceful
  • Proactive disposition and initiative taker
  • Excellent French and English communication skills
  • Facilitation, and group facilitation, experience is an asset

  • Respond to all unforeseen needs of partners (logistical, catering, programming, etc.)
  • Contribute to the smooth running of partners’ private functions
  • Assist partner representatives during activities/events and answer their questions about the site
  • Resourceful and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Restaurant experience is a plus

  • Prepare snacks and serve them
  • Direct participants and inform them about the different services offered
  • Manage lineups to optimize participants’ experience
  • Help manage the supply and distribution of beverages

  • Irreproachable pen(wo)manship in at least one of the two official languages, particularly English

  • Deep understanding of the business world and a strong interest in the themes at C2 Montréal 2017

  • Journalistic experience is a plus

Required availability: Training sessions one evening per week from mid-April to mid-May, full availability during the event and a few hours the following week for follow-up writing. Priority will be given to candidates who can also commit to Movin’On.
