Marketing star Bozoma Saint John lends her powerful voice to C2 2019

High-powered marketing star Bozoma Saint John is redefining what leadership looks, thinks and acts like. We’re proud to announce that she will join filmmaking revolutionary Spike Lee, Cirque du Soleil and Lune Rouge founder Guy Laliberté and boundary-pushing entrepreneur Dr. Martine Rothblatt, among many others, on the deepening speaker roster at this exciting eighth edition of C2 Montréal (May 22-24, 2019).

Marketing queen

Endeavor CMO Bozoma Saint John is a marketing dynamo, business celebrity and diversity champion “redefining badassery” with her “support my shine or be blinded by it” approach to doing business.

Bozoma’s worked with some of the biggest brands in the world, including Uber (Chief Brand Officer), Apple Music and iTunes (Head of Global Consumer Marketing) and PepsiCo (leading the Music and Entertainment Marketing Group). Inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s Advertising Hall of Achievement in 2014, she broke the mould (and the internet) at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference in 2016 by famously making a roomful of tech guys get down to Rapper’s Delight.

Last year, she inked a TV deal for a biographical docuseries (Bozoma: Being Badass) that she described as a mix of The Oprah Winfrey Show, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and Mister Rogers’ Neighbourhood. And if that wasn’t wicked enough, Boz does business with Beyoncé and was quite literally crowned a Queen after recently receiving the ceremonial title in her homeland of Ghana.

Leading fearlessly

The marketing guru has often said that being a successful change agent means being fearless, visible and doing your job in a powerful and unapologetic way.

Advocating that leaders show up wholly and fully as their true selves to work (ideally in sequins), Boz says she wants “to explore the non-boundaries of what it means to look like a corporate executive in a way that is not traditional.”

As WIRED so aptly put it, we can’t look past the essential role she plays in an industry that sorely needs diverse figures to look up to. At C2 to she’ll be digging into brand/pop culture relevance and different ways of building trust.

Brace for the third wave of speakers!

A world-renowned inclusive capitalist, a creative ice-cream dreamer, an extreme-life scientist, a rapidly rising musician marketer, a fictional archaeologist and a “hard to kill” maker are among the many new speakers who have joined this year’s blossoming roster. You can discover them here.

And stay tuned — there will be even more speaker announcements in the weeks to come.
